Avoiding the Debt Trap

NARCA is a nationwide trade association of debt collection law firms and in-house counsel of creditors. NARCA is comprised of more than 650 law firms representing 5,000+ collection attorneys and staff. Dedicated to preserving and protecting the integrity and viability of legal collections, NARCA is the only nationwide trade association that focuses exclusively on the needs and interests of the creditor’s rights attorney. Not only does NARCA cater to its members, but also to the public by promoting financial literacy to teenagers and young adults around the nation.

“Avoiding the Debt Trap”is a presentation specifically tailored to an audience ages 25 and under that is designed to teach the importance of proper credit habits. “Avoiding the Debt Trap” explores key concepts in budgeting, credit, math, consumer finance, and debt management with the goal of teaching teens and young adults how to stay out of financial trouble and how to recover if they find themselves behind financially. This is invaluable knowledge that young people need to understand not only to make our current communities thrive, but future communities as well. The “Avoiding the Debt Trap” presentation comes in the form of PowerPoint that is customizable to the needs of the audience being presented to. Resources such as talking points for the presentation, promotional items and much more are provided to the presenters to ensure that “Avoiding the Debt Trap” meets NARCA’s goal of teaching financial stability to perhaps the most vulnerable population in our nation: teenagers and young adults.
