This full day professional development workshop will be held atNavesink Country Clublocated on the banks of the Navesink River in Central Monmouth County.

Teachers will learn how to design and implement a really fun economics for life course. Designed for beginning students, the course focuses on four essential areas:
  • how markets work
  • the value of entrepreneurship and the institutional elements of a prosperous economy
  • the role of government
  • the key elements of personal finance

The course is:
  • aligned withCommon Core State Standards
  • uphold the requirements toward fulfilling the2.5 credits of financial literacyneeded for graduation
  • meetstateandnational standardsfor economics and financial literacy
  • well organized, easy to understand, flexible and user friendly

The course pairs the textbook with an electronic component emphasizinginnovativeinstructional tools andinteractiveteaching methods.
