WHAT WE DO
TheHawaii Jump$tart Coalitionis a nonprofit organization with more than 20 organizations and individuals representing business, government and education throughout the state of Hawaii. We have joined together to improve the personal financial literacy of Hawaii youth from birth through college-age and build a culture of financial literacy in Hawaii by:
  • Developing healthy financial lives from a young age.
  • Empowering youth with financial knowledge and literacy.
  • Promoting ethical financial practices.
  • Partnering with organizations and individuals with similar values to achieve greater collective impact.
In addition, the Hawaii Jump$tart Coalition is a proud affiliate of the National Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy®.

  • Giving public school teachers access to local and national financial education resources,
  • Increasing collaboration between the Hawaii Jump$tart Coalition and the Hawaii State Department of Education to integrate financial education into existing Common Core curriculum standards, and
  • Creating a Community Engagement position within the Department of Education to streamline partnerships between individual schools, complex areas and financial education professionals.
