Greetings All!
I'm pleased to have been asked to share my thoughts in today's Arkansas Democrat Gazette on the great job the St. Louis Federal Reserve Board (FRB) did in developing it's new financial education resources. They are fantastic! I'm additionally happy to have been able to point out some of the other excellent resources available through other FRB's, the FDIC, etc.
Beneath my signature is a list of recent media our efforts have earned. I think it is important to note we have earned these opportunities without a public relations, marketing, social media or technical team. We believe it demonstates the organic infectiousness and effectiveness of our strategies as well as our ability to think both "outside" and "inside" the box championing great money and reading habits. As a truth in advertising disclosure, please note what my sister frequently points out, I could be wrong.

Below are some of the initiatives we are working on. Please contact me if you liked to learn more about them and how we might work together empowering young lives.
Sammy & "It's a Habit" Initiatives in Development
(i) Special series of 6 to 12 short articles containg tips, ideas and "free" resources on teaching kids early great money and goal setting habits while helping to build their reading, writing and critical thinking skills

(ii) Development of a READING and SAVING initiative in English and Spanish - untitled.
The initiative will emulate and adapt the Wisconsin Big Read (WBR) sponsored by the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions (WI DFI). We're proud in 2013 the WBR featured our award winning book It's a Habit Sammy Rabbit. The Wisconsin Big Read was cited by the Chicago Federal Reserve Board as a "best practice" in financial education. Kudos to the WI DFI!
The inititiative will also incorporate lessons learned from:
(a) the University of Maryland's national award winning research project titled: "Parents as Wealth Coaches" The project studied and measured our multi media interactive approach to financial education, and
(b) our decade plus of touring and delivering programs to more than a quarter million families in 8 countries and nearly 40 states
(iii) Development of the world's first "music driven early age financial education" program.
Check progress at: Sammy Karaoke Channel / Sammy Lyric Channel / Sammy Song & Activity Book Channel

(iv) Development of a "Color, Save and Sing Language Building / Awareness" initiative in English and Spanish
