Dear Friends and Supporters of Financial Literacy Education,

We have exciting news to share . . . the Capital One/Junior Achievement Finance Park is back in New Jersey!  And, we are seeking volunteers who want to help make a difference in the lives of NJ’s youth during the months of February and March.  The students will spend a day managing personal finances, experiencing first-hand what it is like to be an adult.

As a volunteer, you will assist with AM and PM set-up, student management/mentorship, provide additional support to the small group volunteers, help with show flow and general operation of the day and handle student check out.

Volunteer hours: 7:30 am to 2:30 pm

Site location: 744 Broad Street in Newark

Dates seeking help: February 3, 5, 24 and March 10, 24, 25

Capital One/Junior Achievement Finance Park is a hands-on learning lab that helps students build a foundation for making personal financial decisions. The program includes classroom teacher-led activities culminating in a visit to Finance Park. The program was developed with the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, based on the belief that strong financial skills are crucial building blocks for future success.

We look forward to hearing from you and answering your questions:
