The goal of the New Jersey Coalition for Financial Education (NJCFE) is to improve the personal financial literacy of New Jersey’s citizens by promoting the teaching of personal finance to people of all ages. The Coalition believes that all citizens of New Jersey must have the financial literacy necessary to make informed financial decisions.
The Coalition meets regularly in the Central New Jersey region and consists of over 500 members and representatives of government agencies, schools, businesses, and nonprofit organizations that provide financial education and related services. The Coalition is a nonprofit operated by an elected board of directors and executive director.
Dr. Barbara O'Neill, Extension Specialist in Financial Resource Management, Rutgers Cooperative Extension, in conjunction with NJCFE recently released the Tenth Edition of Financial Fitness for the Best Rest of Your Life: What Older Adults Need to Know About Money and the Ninth Edition of Money...What Young Adults Need to Know.
